Abstract
This research discusses designing worksheets for students listening to English using YouTube at IAIN Ponorogo. This research is based on an intensive listening class where there is a difference between the ideal class that is expected and the actual class that occurs. This difference causes problems with poor hearing scores. Then a listening worksheet was developed that uses ICT media with the hope of increasing students' listening scores and attracting students' interest.
This research aims to determine the design of English listening student worksheets using YouTube videos at IAIN Ponorogo, to determine the validity of English listening student worksheets using YouTube videos at IAIN Ponorogo, and to determine the effectiveness of student worksheet design. in English listen using YouTube videos at IAIN Ponorogo.
This research method uses the Borg and Gall research and development model. There are six stages in this research, namely research and data collection, planning, developing preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, and main field testing. The instruments used in this research were lecturer validation sheets and tests. The sample in this study were second semester students majoring in English at IAIN Ponorogo. The sample in this study was the second semester class majoring in English. The technique used in sampling is random sampling. Data collection techniques use validation sheets and tests. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques use worksheet validation sheets, normality tests, descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing.
The data obtained shows that 85.3% of the products developed are valid. Apart from that, the test results show that the pretest average is 75.18, while the posttest average is 83.47, which means there is an increase in the score between before using the product and after using the product. The result of this research is that the researcher developed a worksheet design using Google Form which contains multiple choice questions by adding YouTube videos as material. The second result of this research is that the product produced is valid according to the experts' assessment. Third, this research produces products with a fairly high level of effectiveness based on the results of the pre-test and post-test that have been carried out. So, the development of listening products using YouTube has been valid and effectively used in IAIN Ponorogo.
