English learning is one of the important subject in Junior Highschool. In English there are 4 important skill that have to be learn by the students like : Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking. Speaking in English is become one of important skill that must be mastering by the student for learning English in the school, speaking also become a basic skill that always use by the people for communication with each other in real life.
In this research the research question is : How is the implementation of flashcard video in teaching speaking and improve the students confidence at SMPN 2 Nguntoronadi.,What are the inhibiting and supporting factors in the implementation of the Flashcard Video in teaching for students’ Speaking skills at SMPN 2 Nguntoronadi.
This research aims to :
find out how the implementation of flashcard video in teaching speaking and improve confidence of seventh grader student at SMPN 2 Nguntoronadi, find out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the flashcard video of seventh grader student at SMPN 2 Nguntoronadi. This research using a case study approach. The subject of this research has chosen by using a purpolsive sampling.
The findings is the implementation of flashcard video in teaching speaking at smpn 2 Nguntoronadi was usefull to make the student enjoy and confidence to learn speaking because the teacher was doing a three steps during the learning process first the pre activity the teacher usually use ice breaking to make the student be more ready and concentration during the learning process , then whilst activity in this activity the teacher usually use the flashcard video as a media to serve the material to the student and improving their speaking skill, next is the post activity in this post activity the teacher will give an written evaluation to the student, then the student can improving their speaking skill, although some of the student in the first time still feel shy and afraid to speak the teacher always give the student support to practicing the word from the flashcard video so the student can be more confidence to speaking English.
