Abstract
The development of digital technology in education requires learning media innovations that are able to increase student involvement and optimize the achievement of competencies, including cultural literacy. The younger generation tends to be more familiar with modern digital content than the regional culture in the surrounding environment. This condition results in a decrease in understanding and appreciation of local culture. Therefore, learning media innovations that utilize digital technology positively, one of which is through the development of interactive e-modules based on local culture to improve the cultural literacy of elementary school students.
This research aims to: (1) develop an Interactive E-Module that is suitable for use in learning cultural literacy, (2) find out the response of teachers and students to the use of e-modules, and (3) analyze the influence of the use of e-modules on improving the cultural literacy of students in grade V MIN 9 Magetan.
The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of the study was a student of class V MIN 9 Magetan. Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis was carried out through validation tests by experts, practicality tests based on user responses using the AIKENS test, and effectiveness tests using paired sample t-tests.
The results of the study show that the Interactive E-Module developed meets the eligibility criteria based on expert validation, obtains positive responses from teachers and students so that it is declared practical, and proven effective in improving students' cultural literacy. The increase in cultural literacy is shown by the increase in the average score of students from 65.6 in the pretest to 86 in the posttest. The results of the paired sample t-test obtained a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) which shows a significant influence of the use of e-modules on improving students' cultural literacy. Thus, the Interactive E-Module developed is declared valid, practical, and effective as an innovative learning medium to improve the cultural literacy of grade V students of MIN 9 Magetan.
