Abstract
PARETO STRATEGY IN MAINTAINING PRICE STABILITY TO OPTIMIZE TOMATO FARMERS' PROFITS IN MAGETAN REGENCY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ISLAMIC BUSINESS ETHICS
ABSTRACT
Magetan Regency has fertile land with the majority of its people working as farmers. One of the leading agricultural commodities in this area is tomatoes, but tomato cultivation often faces various challenges, such as price fluctuations. Sharp price fluctuations, especially during the main harvest, cause tomato prices to drop drastically so that they are not comparable to the production costs that have been incurred. This study aims to analyze the strategies used by tomato farmers in dealing with price fluctuations, their impact on the sustainability of farming businesses, and their assessment from the perspective of Islamic business ethics. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and observations with tomato farmers and staff of the TPHPKP Service in Magetan Regency. Data were analyzed using the deductive method. The results of the study showed that in dealing with the phenomenon of very low tomato prices, farmers did not sell their crops to prevent the accumulation of abundant stock in the market, a strategy that can be categorized as a Pareto strategy. The impact of the strategy carried out by farmers makes farmers experience losses, but can also provide benefits at the same time, and can make tomato prices return to normal. From the perspective of Islamic business ethics, this strategy contains an element of tabdzir (waste) because it allows the harvest to rot, thus contradicting the principle of balance. Farmers choose to wait for prices to return to normal, reflecting the concept of tauhid which recognizes Allah as the provider of sustenance, but this also indicates a waste of resources that contradicts Islamic business ethics.

STRATEGI PARETO DALAM MENJAGA STABILITAS HARGA UNTUK OPTIMALISASI LABA PETANI TOMAT DI KABUPATEN MAGETAN PERSPEKTIF ETIKA BISNIS ISLAM
ABSTRAK
Kabupaten Magetan memiliki tanah yang subur dengan mayoritas masyarakatnya yang bekerja sebagai petani. Salah satu komoditas pertanian unggulan di daerah ini adalah tomat, namun budidaya tomat ini sering menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti naik turunnya harga. Fluktuasi harga yang tajam, terutama saat panen raya membuat harga tomat mengalami penurunan drastis sehingga tidak sebanding dengan biaya produksi yang telah dikeluarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang dilakukan petani tomat dalam menghadapi fluktuasi harga, dampaknya terhadap keberlangsungan usaha tani, serta penilaiannya dari perspektif etika bisnis Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara serta observasi dengan para petani tomat serta staf Dinas TPHPKP di Kabupaten Magetan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deduktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menghadapi fenomena harga tomat yang sangat rendah para petani tidak menjual hasil panennya untuk mencegah terjadinya penumpukan stok yang melimpah di pasar, sebuah strategi yang dapat dikategorikan kedalam strategi pareto. Dampak dari strategi yang dilakukan petani membuat para petani mengalami kerugian, tetapi juga dapat memberikan keuntungan secara bersamaan, serta dapat membuat harga tomat kembali normal. Dari perspektif etika bisnis Islam, strategi ini mengandung unsur tabdzir (pemborosan) karena membiarkan hasil panen membusuk, sehingga bertentangan dengan prinsip keseimbangan.. Para petani memilih untuk menunggu harga kembali normal, mencerminkan konsep tauhid yang mengakui Allah sebagai pemberi rizki, namun ini juga mengindikasikan pemborosan sumber daya yang bertentangan denganetika bisnis islam.
