Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Department, Tarbiyah Faculty and Teaching Science, Ponorogo State Islamic Institute. Supervisor: Ayunda Riska Puspita, M.A.

Keywords: Speaking Skills, self-efficacy, Indonesian Language Lessons.

Speaking skills are an important part of learning Indonesian in elementary schools because they play a role in developing students' communication skills. However, in reality there are still many students who experience difficulties when asked to convey a story orally. This difficulty is partly caused by lack of practice and low self-confidence. Therefore, it is important to review students' speaking skills based on linguistic and non-linguistic aspects based on the level of self-efficacy that each student has.
The aim of this research is to describe (1) the speaking skills of class IV students at MIN 4 Ponorogo who have high self-efficacy in Indonesian language lessons; (2) speaking skills of class IV students at MIN 4 Ponorogo who have moderate self-efficacy in Indonesian language lessons and; (3) speaking skills of class IV students at MIN 4 Ponorogo who have low self-efficacy in Indonesian language lessons.
This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, observation and interviews. The research subjects were fourth grade students who had been grouped based on the results of the self-efficacy questionnaire into three categories, namely high, medium and low. The data was then analyzed using interactive analysis techniques which included data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The research results show that, firstly, students who have high self-efficacy demonstrate good speaking skills from linguistic and non-linguistic aspects. Second, students who have moderate self-efficacy show quite good abilities but there are still deficiencies in fluency and style. Third, students who have low self-efficacy experience difficulties as indicated by the many obstacles in their speaking skills, such as unclear pronunciation, limited vocabulary, and incoherent sentence structures, while in non-linguistic aspects, they speak in a low voice, with stiff expressions, and with minimal movement or eye contact, thus making story telling take a long time. So it can be concluded that students who have high self-efficacy have better speaking skills than students who have moderate or low self-efficacy.
